Visitors to the Flight 93 Memorial can take time to remember and cherish all those who were lost on perhaps the most significant day of our nation’s history. Located on a hilltop overlooking the crash site, the memorial has wooden benches inscribed with the names of all those onboard the ill-fated flight. The area is enclosed by a 40 foot fence which is thoughtfully decorated with flowers, handwritten notes, artwork and various tributes to all those who were lost. The memorial is open to the public 365 days a year, dawn to dusk, with staff present from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. most days in the spring, summer, and autumn. Winter hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Further construction on the site will include the Field of Honor, the Sacred Ground, and a Visitors Center. The initial phase of the memorial is scheduled to be dedicated on Septmber 11, 2011.
Come join the some 130,000 people who visit the Flight 93 Memorial each year, and discover the true meaning of being an American.
