E-mail Print PDF

Have you ever witnessed a true miracle?  If not, then you’ve probably never visited the Quecreek Rescue Site near Somerset, Pa.  On July 23, 2002, nine men found themselves trapped 240 feet below ground and waited for the outside world to respond.  With the help of several outside sources, all 9 men were rescued from an agonizing, 77-hr. ordeal below the earth’s surface.

Today, the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site serves as an inspiration for thousands of people.  Visit the Visitor’s Center and Monument for Life today and see why the Quecreek Rescue story has touched the lives of so many.
